World Faiths – Believers

Surely, success does come to the believers, who are humble in their prayers, and who shun all that which is vain, and who are active in paying the Zakat, and who guard their chastity – except from their wives or what their right hands possess, for then they are not to be blamed; but those who seek anything beyond that are the transgressors – and who are watchful of their trusts and their covenants, and who are strict in the observance of their prayers. These are the heirs, who will inherit paradise. They will abide therein.

ISLAM, THE HOLY QUR’AN, 23:2-12.

A believer is the one from whose tongue and hand people are safe, and a believer is one from whom the people’s lives and wealth are safe.

ISLAM, THE HOLY PROPHET (SA), HADITH OF SUNAN AL – NASA’I

Every believer is to a degree in need of such cleansing. No believer can attain salvation until they become a mirror. A seeker of God polishes themselves of their own accord and bears difficulty by virtue of their own effort. But a person absorbed in God is thrown into tribulation. God Himself refines such a person and bestows upon them the qualities of a mirror by subjecting them to countless forms of adversity and affliction.

ISLAM, THE PROMISED MESSIAH (AS), MALFUZAT– VOLUME I, P. 27

And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

 JUDAISM, THE TANAKH, HEBREWS 11:6

Jesus said to him, ‘If you are able! – All things can be done for the one who believes.’

CHRISTIANITY, THE BIBLE, MARK 9:23

You are what you believe in. You become that which you believe you can become.

HINDUISM, BHAGAVAD GITA

Now, Kalamas, don’t go by reports, by legends, by traditions, by scripture, by logical conjecture, by inference, by analogies, by agreement through pondering views, by probability, or by the thought, ‘This contemplative is our teacher.’ When you know for yourselves that, ‘These qualities are skillful; these qualities are blameless; these qualities are praised by the wise; these qualities, when adopted & carried out, lead to welfare & to happiness’ – then you should enter & remain in them.

 BUDDHISM, KALAMA SUTTA
