Jalsa in a Pandemic – What Can We Expect?
“Preparations for the Jalsa Salana UK 2021 (Annual Convention) are well under way. Due to the global pandemic, this convention could not be held in its usual form last year. And so, as the convention returns to its home in Hadiqatul Mahdi, Alton, anticipation is high for a spiritually charged event.
In light of government restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic, although the Jalsa Salana is returning to its usual form in some aspects, there are still many ways in which this year’s convention will be unique.
The Review of Religions spoke with some of the organising officers of the Jalsa Salana to get a better understanding of how this year’s Jalsa Salana will be unique, and what can be expected, both by those attending, and those tuning in from around the world.
